Cooler air will fade away this weekend with warmer airflows arriving for most places by Sunday and Monday.
High pressure from Australia will be moving in this weekend bringing mostly settled weather, although showers in the eastern North Island will take until the weekend to ease and clear.
Next week NZ is between high and low pressure meaning showers are likely here and there.
