VIDEO: Autumn’s windy westerlies are heading to NZ & TAS

High pressure slides off NZ today and Thursday allowing a weak low to move in for Friday and Saturday. By Sunday windy westerlies develop in the south of NZ and spread nationwide into the start of next week, followed by a colder change on Tuesday in the south. Classic late March / early Autumn weather.

Tasmania, Bass Straight and coastal Victoria will also be on the edges of this windy weather and cooler change in the days ahead.

We have your NZ forecast (and the south-eastern corner of Australia) through to Tuesday next week.

Today is the Autumn Equinox at 4:06pm NZDT / 2:06pm AEDT.
