Video: Another sub-tropical low coming this weekend

Philip Duncan explains why Aucklanders and those in Bay of Plenty missed out on rain this weekend – and why a new sub-tropical low coming this weekend could be a twin to the one that’s just been.

He also takes a look at your forecast for the week ahead.

At this stage a weak front will pass over the western side of NZ on Tuesday – it won’t have much oomph in the North Island but could deliver a few heavy falls on the West Coast.

This is not spring weather. Is still winter, though feels better than spring. It is more variable because we have more a variety ie low axis appearing more over us or north,Real spring weather is unrelenting southwest gales week upon week with little variety inbetween and weekend on looks full on spring especially an angle north from Taranaki across the coromandel northwards especially Auckland.
