Low pressure brings a mixed bag of weather to New Zealand today, more details below.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Showers mostly clearing early in the morning but one or two may linger through till midday then areas of sun increase, west to southwesterly winds.
Highs: 19-21

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny then expect some afternoon cloud, isolated showers develop inland towards the eastern ranges, some may become heavy with thunder then clearing in the evening. Light winds tend southerly by midday.
Highs: 16-19

Eastern North Island
Any early showers clear then sunny spells develop, isolated showers develop during the afternoon especially along the ranges where some could be heavy with thunder then clearing later on. Southerly winds.
Highs: 17-18

Wellington
Morning sun then showers move in during the afternoon, chance of a few isolated heavy falls with thunder about inland areas then easing later in the day. South to southeasterly winds build.
High: 16

Marlborough & Nelson
Morning cloud then mostly. Isolated showers develop about inland areas during the afternoon, some may even become heavy with thunder late afternoon / evening then clearing later on. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 18-19

Canterbury
Morning cloud then mostly sunny, morning rain about Mid and South Canterbury then clearing around midday. Isolated showers develop about inland areas during the afternoon (more so about the high country), some may even become heavy with thunder late afternoon / evening then easing. Light winds tend east to northeast after midday.
Highs: 15-17

West Coast
Morning cloud about South Westland may bring a few showers then breaking away with sunny areas increasing, North Westland is mostly sunny. Along the ranges in the afternoon (about the main divide) a few isolated showers may pop up late afternoon / evening. Light winds tend onshore in the afternoon.
Highs: 17-21

Southland & Otago
A few morning showers then becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon, easterly winds.
Highs: 16-19
