A ridge moves onto New Zealand today bringing settled weather, it will be a bit cold though especially this morning.

Auckland & Northland
Any early morning showers clear then sunny spells increase, breezy to brisk southwesterlies ease.
Highs: 12-13

Bay Of Plenty

Sunny with breezy southwesterly winds, easing  evening.
High: 13

Waikato & Central North Island

Sunny with southwesterly winds, freshening for a time in the afternoon
about the Waikato then easing in the evening.
Highs: 10-11

Eastern North Island

Brisk southwesterlies ease in the evening, sunny spells with clear skies
developing later in the day. There may be a brief shower at times during the day
in exposed coastal areas till late afternoon.
High: 11

Taranaki

Becoming mostly sunny in the morning, especially for northern parts of the
region. Breezy southerlies slowly ease during the day.
High: 11

Western North Island

Any early showers clear, cloud slowly breaks during the day with skies
becoming clear by evening. Southwesterly winds ease later in the day.
High: 11

Wellington

A few morning showers and snow flurries to 300m clear, sunny spells
increase in the afternoon with strong southerlies easing evening.
Highs: 8-9

Nelson

Sunny with southwesterly breezes.
High: 12

Marlborough

Sunny with southwesterlies dying out in the morning.
Highs: 11-12

Canterbury

Becoming mostly sunny in the morning, early showers about Banks Peninsula
clear. Cold southwesterlies die out in the afternoon.

West Coast

Sunny with light winds.

Coastal Otago

Sunny with westerlies easing in the morning.

Central Otago

Sunny with light winds after a frosty start.
