When we decided on a poll topic for the week, we had just seen a crazy start to 2016’s global weather – but with no idea that the following 7 days would be even crazier!

We’ve seen snowstorms in the USA, some crazy temperatures in Asia, tropical storms and our own Jekyll and Hyde summer – which prompted us to ask the question: are you interested in overseas weather news?

The answer was pretty conclusive – with nearly 75% of voters saying yes – they take an interest in what happens in different parts of the world, weather-wise.

Of course, that leaves more than a quarter of our readers who simply want to focus on our own weather – and at WeatherWatch.co.nz that remains our number one priority – so here’s to a varied and comprehensive look at our weather in 2016!
