I have swum in lake Pupuke almost Daily from mid – late Jan to end of feb and i was swiming in the viaduct yesterday (29th feb 2012) cleaning a boat hull but i was in a thin wetsuit to clean the hull

Xmas & New Year on Great Barrier Island and the water was freezing… last Saturday at Motuihe, Ocean Beach, was nice and warm.

I’ve had a couple of swims at long bay but nothing like previous years just because of the lack of hot sunny days.
