Despite an unsettled weather pattern around New Zealand most places will still get some settled weather over the next week, but windy weather, a few thunderstorms and downpours and some temperature fluctuations are likely as wind flows change direction – we explain why.

By Sunday a low from the Tasman Sea moves into the West Coast with some rain and localised winds, but it may be an even larger low coming our way mid-week next week that may create larger areas of wind and rain.
