Recorded data 1971-2000

Recorded by whom? Also, why are more recent years excluded, and what sites have been used (though this would generally be answered by simply providing a complete citation or linking to the original data)?

Normals for 1981-2010 are not available yet. The Dunedin figures are for Musselburgh, whose values on an annual basis understate the city for maxima, but overstate the minima. The net result flatters the city somewhat, considering the typical elevations. Wellington data are for Kelburn, and are about 0.9C lower than at sea level sites..
