New look site up and running

WeatherWatch.co.nz has made a few changes to help find the latest news faster and keep more relevant stories at the top of the page.

No features have been removed but you may notice a few basic changes.

First of all we have changed to the Daily Debrief to Daily Highs.  You’ll see the logo to click on further down the page.  This is updated 7 days a week usually between 4:15 and 4:45pm.

We increased the size of the satellite map on the right hand side and created a better news archive section.

Our aim is to keep news, daily highs and images seperately.

Future changes…

In the near future we’ll set up seperate news sections such as North Island, South Island, National, Storms, Tropics etc to make it easier to save or bookmark certain interest areas.

We’re also going to add a better link to the Gallery.

Bugs

The feedback so far has been incredibly positive however a small percentage are having problems with layout.  Two main issues – 1)  Images appear all over the page.  2)  You can not click on the gallery photos at the bottom of the page.

If you’re having trouble please try the following steps:

Windows users:  Hold down the Ctrl button and press F5 (to refresh all images on the page).

If that doesn’t work click on:  Tools -> Internet Options. In this window is a button that says ‘Delete Browsing History’. This gets rid of cookies, temp files and cached items

If you’re still having problems or you feedback on the site please contact us.

Hi,
Would like a direct link to the full gallery of images so I can choose which category to browse through. Otherwise the site is functioning well for me.

Have you tried both of the above suggestions?

Yes have tried both but if anything it should work on both if not better in IE7. I installed IE8 today at work with same settings and it worked fine. However i uninstalled IE8 and installed IE7 again and got the same result as before. I cannot put my finger on it perhaps your website builder can.

Cheers,

Peter
