Monday Newsfeed: Eastern showers, cooler air + incoming high pressure

Showery weather slides up eastern NZ with cooler southerly quarter winds as high pressure from the Tasman Sea slowly moves into the country from the west.

It means mostly dry weather for eastern and central areas – with wettest weather in the east.

Nights will be cooler/colder and days will be cooler as the high starts to move in over the coming day or so. The centre of the high will cross over the South island on Tuesday with light winds.
