The Melbourne Cup is here with the big race at about 5pm NZT.
The forecast for Melbourne isn’t too flash either. After one of the wettest Octobers on record the forecast for Melbourne today is for a mostly cloudy day with a few showers developing during the morning and a cool south west change arriving by afternoon.
However WeatherWatch.co.nz says there will be long dry spells too.
It’ll be cool in the wind too – with a temperature of only 14 or 15 degrees at race time.
Here in NZ the weather is likely to be dry and sunny for those attending Cup functions.
