Mainly anticyclonic over New Zealand today and on Friday, conditions are mainly settled but there will be areas of cloud about for some. Eastern regions get the best weather.

Cloudy areas for the western North Island today, some sun may start to make more of an appearance from afternoon. Chance of a shower or two at times in the west also otherwise mainly dry. Mainly sunny conditions for eastern New Zealand. The West Coast of the South Island has mainly sunny weather after any morning cloud / showers clear. A shower or two in the morning for the lower South Island also then sunny areas increase.

Some fog or low cloud possible for upper North Island areas morning and night, especially inland. Expect a mix of sun and cloud otherwise, perhaps an isolated shower or two also. The east coast of the country is mainly sunny once again. The West Coast of the South Island is cloudiest in the south, showers for Fiordland.
