Cooling down – The Big Picture on Tuesday

On Tuesday we have a cold southwesterly airflow over New Zealand, meaning lower temperatures and mixed conditions for many.

For Southland there may be the odd shower at times during the day, while there’s a lesser risk of showers for the West Coast of the South Island (and the west of the North Island) but it is still there.

For the east of the country, conditions are a bit sunnier, but they can still expect some cloud, while gloomy conditions for the east of the South Island build in the afternoon.
For Canterbury there is the low risk of a shower or two in the afternoon – mainly inland – and while it doesn’t look like making any difference for farmers, the chance is there.
The Wairarapa may see the odd shower during the day also, but again – nothing too dramatic.
