A cold front is today and overnight tonight trying to attack our large high moving in from the Tasman Sea.
But who will win? Well, the high looks as though it will clearly win – destroying the front as it tries to move up the South Island this evening and overnight.
WeatherWatch.co.nz says a few showers are expected in Southland, Otago and the West Coast but over the next 24 hours the front will disintegrate.
It’s possible that the front may bring in a few cloudy areas to some coastal regions during Saturday.
Overall the weekend looks dry and mild with light winds likely everywhere.
