Windy westerlies continue over NZ for the rest of the week, ahead of a low pressure zone coming in this weekend bringing rain and then a colder change for some going into early next week. The west to nor’west winds will help boost temperatures before then, pushing some eastern regions up over 20 degrees.
Rain is most likely on the West Coast with showers for the North Island mostly in the west too. There may be a bit of spillover to the east, but it won’t likely be much.
We track the gales, the incoming low and the 7 day rainfall for New Zealand.
