7 Day Weather: A few weak cold fronts, but a lot more high pressure

We’re not done with summer – if it does feel a little Autumnal at times now. We have a few weak cold fronts brushing NZ over the coming several days, bringing some rain to the south-west of the South Island and showers here and there elsewhere.

Most of the North Island has dry weather coming up, as does the upper South Island, with only showers (some possibly heavy) for southern and eastern parts of the South Island

With high pressure dominating, and with a more northern placement, it means most regions will have westerly quarter winds over the coming week, although some coastal areas may be changeable with sea breezes back in the forecast.
