What’s the temperature at your place?

We’re keen to hear from you about the temperature at your place.  MetService takes their readings from airports, which somtimes don’t reflect what you feel at your place – especially if you live further inland or within a city.

Post your readings below – and any other weather observations you think others might find interesting.

Reports are coming in that the hottest part of the country is the lower eastern North Island.

Who has the highest and the lowest temps at their place today? – post you readings below!

Got up to about 23 today in Mairangi Bay. We are frequently warmer than the official reading for Auckland.

Don’t believe that :).
My weathers station only reported a high of 19.8 in Torbay, doubt that Mairangi bay could be that much warmer when it is so close.

That is the problem of personal weather stations though, different brands, people locating them incorrectly (next to roofs, concrete etc), stations that simply aren’t correct….

completely true. The amateur stations that are available for a couple hundred dollars are for those with an interest but aren’t too fussed on great accuracy.
