A ridge brings settled conditions to the South Island today, over the North Island conditions are settled too for most however in the afternoon / evening isolated showers develop for many inland areas. Showers may be heavy with a risk of thunderstorms then clearing in the evening.

Mostly sunny, a touch of high cloud at times. Light winds.
Highs: 17-18

Auckland

Mostly sunny weather with light winds, cloud may be a little more frequent
mid afternoon through till evening but still a great day.
High: 18

Bay Of Plenty

Mostly sunny with light winds, chance of a late afternoon isolated shower
any of which clear in the evening.
High: 17

Waikato & Central North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds, mid to late afternoon isolated showers
develop some of which may be heavy with thunderstorms then easing later.
Highs: 17-19

Eastern North Island

Morning showers clear away with a few sunny spells then possible, light
winds. Mid to late afternoon isolated showers develop about the ranges, some of
which may be heavy then clearing later in the evening.
High: 16

Western North Island

Mostly sunny with light winds, inland areas sees cloud build in the
afternoon. Isolated showers develop for some mid to late afternoon possibly
heavy then clearing away in the evening.

Wellington

Mostly sunny with light winds, isolated showers to the northwest over the
hills in the afternoon.
High: 15

Nelson

Sunny with light winds tending northerly in the afternoon.

Marlborough

Mainly sunny after any morning cloud clears away, light winds.

Canterbury

Mainly sunny with light winds tending easterly this afternoon, late afternoon / evening light southerlies bring a few clouds.

West Coast

Sunny with light winds.

Mostly sunny this morning, light winds tend southerly this afternoon with a few clouds starting to drift in.

Sunny areas and some high cloud, light winds.

Sunny areas at first with some high cloud, southerlies from early afternoon bring a few showers.
Highs: 14
