A gentle northwesterly airflow lies across the country tonight, a weak front is slowly moving north delivering some rain to the West Coast of the South Island and a few spots of rain in the east.

Clear skies with westerlies easing away this evening. Light winds

Waikato & Central North Island

Clear with a few clouds about, some cloud builds in the west overnight.
Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Eastern North Island

Mainly clear skies, some high cloud moves into the Wairarapa this evening
then further north overnight. Northeasterlies ease.
Tonight’s Lows: 8-9

Western North Island

Areas of cloud thicken later this evening, northwesterly winds. Chance of a
shower towards dawn about Taranaki.
