Our cold low is moving away to the east and a warmer higher pressure system is coming in from the Tasman over the weekend.

A few showers may linger here and there around the country, especially the east coast of the North Island on Saturday – but as the weekend wears on the sun should come out more and conditions warm up further.

Next week starts off mild but goes cooler again around Wednesday.
