Weather Video: Uh-oh, is that a sub-tropical low for Christmas Day?

In our second to last weather video of 2018 we take a close look at the forecast leading up to – and including – Christmas and Boxing Days.

The forecast is a bit complicated with a couple of sub-tropical lows in the forecast affecting the North Island. Christmas Day itself still looks dry for about 2/3 of New Zealand, but the 1/3 that might get some rain, drizzle or showers from the incoming low has half of NZ’s population living in it.

This is still an evolving forecast but here is the latest as of today.
