As we head smack bang into the middle of the school holidays at cold snap is moving in and we have seven days of wintry weather moving in – with a mix of sun, gales, snow and rain.
Ski fields in both islands will get snow too – for some it’s well overdue.
Despite the wintry outlook most places will be around average for midwinter.
