Mainly settled around New Zealand today thanks to high pressure moving in from the Tasman Sea.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny weather, Northland has a mix of sun and cloud with the risk of a shower or two in the west. South to southwesterly winds, expect an afternoon sea breeze for Bay Of Plenty.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny with light winds.
Highs: 14-20

Eastern North Island

Sunny, a few morning showers north of Napier clear away. Southerlies die away in the evening.
Highs: 18-20

Wellington

Sunny, light winds tend to the north around midday.
Highs: 17-19

Marlborough & Nelson

Sunny, light winds tend north to northeast in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-20

Canterbury

Mainly sunny, there may be some cloud near the coast especially out on Banks Peninsula. Light winds tend to the south then northeast in the evening.
Highs: 17-20

West Coast

A mix of sun and cloud, Fiordland has a few showers from evening, turning to rain overnight. Light winds tend southwest in the afternoon.
Highs: 17-19

Southland & Otago
Partly cloudy skies, the odd shower near the coast especially morning for Southland and the Catlins. Otago has sunnier and drier weather, some morning cloud breaks away. West to southwesterly winds tend to the north in the evening.
