Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
A mix of sun and cloud, may be a shower for eastern Northland, northern Auckland, Great Barrier Island and the Coromandel. Northeasterly winds.

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
A mix of sun and cloud then some overnight rain, northwesterly winds.
Highs: 23-27

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny with some high cloud, overnight rain spreads into Wairarapa. Light north to northeasterly winds.
Highs: 24-28

Mostly cloudy with breezy north to northwesterly winds, late evening or overnight showers / patchy drizzle.
High: 21-22

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny areas and increasing high cloud, showers about Nelson turn to rain in the evening then spreading into Marlborough. Drying out overnight as north to northwest winds change southerly.
Highs: 21-26

Sunny areas and increasing high cloud, rain spreads into the high country around midday then eases evening. Wider Canterbury may see a few brief evening showers as northerlies change southerly.
Highs: 28-31

West Coast
Heavy rain pushes northwards during the morning and afternoon, easing by evening as northerlies change southwest.
Highs: 19-21

Southland & Otago
Some morning rain about Southland then clearing to a few sunny spells as northerlies change westerly, evening showers. Otago has morning high cloud, risk spot of rain then brief afternoon showers as northerlies change southwest. Skies mainly clear by evening.
