Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Mostly sunny, some morning cloud for Northland and Auckland then breaking away. Southwesterly winds.
Highs: 23-26

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Mostly sunny, there may be some morning cloud which breaks away. West to northwesterly winds, picking up in the afternoon.
Highs: 21-24

Eastern North Island
Mostly sunny, any morning cloud breaks away. Light winds tend east to northeast in the afternoon about Hawkes Bay and Gisborne. Northwesterlies for Wairarapa.
Highs: 23-26

Wellington
Mostly sunny, some morning high cloud clears away. Increasing northwesterly winds.
High: 22

Marlborough & Nelson
Mostly sunny, some morning high cloud clears away. West to northwest winds picking up in the afternoon.
Highs: 25-29

Canterbury
Mostly sunny with some morning high cloud clearing away, northwesterly winds may be gusty at times especially inland.
Highs: 27-29

West Coast
Areas of rain or showers, westerlies pick up in the afternoon.

Southland & Otago
A mostly cloudy morning with some rain or showers about Southland and coastal Otago, drying out in the afternoon with conditions becoming mostly sunny. Gusty west to northwesterly winds, strong for coastal areas.
