A few showers popping up for some regions this afternoon / evening. Showers quite isolated in nature however so many will still remain dry. Winds mainly light with onshore flows for most.

Northland

Sunny areas and some cloud, light winds in the morning then afternoon sea breezes. Chance of an isolated shower, mainly later in the day.

Highs: 27-28

Auckland

Sunny areas and some cloud, chance of an afternoon isolated shower mainly
in the south. Southwesterly winds.

High: 27

Bay Of Plenty

Morning sunny areas with westerly winds, a few isolated showers develop mid
afternoon through to evening some of which could be heavy. Showers more likely
inland about hills and ranges although a few may reach the coast.

Highs: 25-26

Waikato

Sunny areas and some cloud with southwesterly breezes, chance of an
isolated shower late afternoon / evening.

High: 26

Central North Island

Morning sunny areas, isolated showers develop in the afternoon (mainly
north and east of the Lake Taupo area) which may become heavy with thunderstorms
then clearing later in the evening.

Highs: 24-25

Eastern North Island

Morning sunny areas, light winds. In the afternoon isolated showers develop
possibly heavy with thunderstorms then clearing later in the evening. Showers
isolated in nature so hit and miss as to where they’ll form. Much of Wairarapa
especially in the south remains dry for most of the day.

Western North Island

A few morning showers clear then expect mostly sunny weather with westerly
winds. Late afternoon / evening there may be an isolated shower inland otherwise
dry.

Highs: 22-23

Wellington

Sunny with northwesterly winds easing, overnight there may be some cloud
and a shower or two as winds tend southerly.

High: 21

Nelson

Sunny with light winds tending northerly by midday, late afternoon /
evening a few isolated showers are possible mainly inland about the ranges then
clearing overnight.

Highs: 22-24

Marlborough

Mostly sunny with light winds tending easterly PM, later this afternoon /
evening a few isolated showers may develop inland (more so about southern
Marlborough). There showers could push eastwards towards the coast overnight,
showers will be fairly isolated in nature so many areas will remain fairly
dry.

High: 25

Canterbury

Chance of an early coastal shower then clearing to mostly sunny weather,
southerly winds develop in the morning. Later this afternoon / evening cloud
builds inland with a few isolated showers developing, these showers may push
eastwards towards the coast overnight.

Highs: 20-21

West Coast

Any early showers clear then mostly sunny with gentle west to southwesterly
winds.

Highs: 19-20

Coastal Otago

Sunny areas and some cloud with breezy southwesterly winds, chance of a
shower or two mainly afternoon / evening.

Highs: 17-18

Central Otago

Sunny with light winds, late afternoon or evening isolated showers develop
possibly heavy then clearing later.

Highs: 18-20

Southland

Periods of cloud with the odd shower, mainly afternoon. West to southwest
winds. Sunny areas at times too.

Highs: 16-17
