Thursday’s Video – Warm winds from the sub tropics

An airflow coming down from the sub tropics is bringing warm, humid air – meaning temperatures are high across most of the northern parts of New Zealand, as well as lifting overnight lows well above average.

The west-northwest windflow is looking like sticking around for a while yet, at least through the weekend anyway – while heavy downpours look on the cards for Auckland, Waikato, Northland, Coromandel Peninsula and the Bay of Plenty at times.
