A slightly delayed high pressure system starts to make inroads today, still the chance of a shower about some eastern extremities.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Sunny for Waikato and Bay Of Plenty, Auckland and Northland has morning cloud break to sunny spells. Later in the day cloud thickens for Bay Of Plenty. Light winds.
Highs: 20-22

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Sunny, there may be some coastal cloud in the morning that clears. Light winds.
Highs: 16-20

Eastern North Island

Mostly sunny however along the coastal fringe expect some cloud, there could even still be a shower or two but this cloud starts to clear away in the afternoon. Southwesterly winds die out in the evening.

Wellington

Sunny, southerly winds.
Highs: 18-20

Marlborough & Nelson

Mostly sunny for Marlborough, Nelson has partly cloudy skies. Light winds.

Canterbury

Sunny with light southerly quarter winds tending northeast later in the day, chance of a shower about the outer Banks Peninsula.

West Coast

A mix of sun and cloud with light winds.

Southland & Otago
A few morning showers clear Southland then partly cloudy, coastal Otago has sunny spells. Central Otago is mostly sunny. Light winds.
