Thursday’s national forecast

Our incoming ridge of high pressure is still on track and on schedule.  It still has the potential to produce some precipitation though, as it moves in off the Tasman.

The main threat for showers will be late this afternoon and this evening about Gisborne and Hawkes Bay.  There is also a chance for showers about the deep south of South Island this morning and early this afternoon.

The rest of the country should look for a dry and settled day.  A mix of sun and clouds is expected.  Highs will be in the mid to upper teens on the North Island and upper South Island.  Highs closer to 10 are expected in the deep south.
