Thursday’s national forecast

Another day of rain for soggy Gisborne and Hawkes Bay.  Rain may ease a bit today, but it will still be a very wet day.  Some clearing is expected tomorrow.

Precipitation may fall in the far north as well, in the form of showers.

For the rest of the country, it’s looking like a quiet Thursday.

It will continue to be a bit breezy across most of the North Island.  Look for clouds to be mixed in with sunshine today.  But any liquid that happens to fall from those clouds will fall in the form of light, brief showers.

Afternoon highs should be right around 20.

The South Island is in for even calmer weather.  Dry and settled conditions are expected across the entire island.

Periods of sunshine will be mixed with a few clouds.  Highs today will be in the upper teens to lower 20’s.
