The Big Picture on Wednesday

Wednesday is looking mainly settled across New Zealand due to a ridge of high pressure. The best weather looks to be in the east.

For the North Island we see a mix of sun and cloud for most, winds are generally light tending onshore for most regions. There is a chance of some anticyclonic gloom (low cloud) being pushed onto the western side of the North Island but currently there should be some sun about. Elsewhere is looking fairly good.

The South Island sees cloudy areas in the west, perhaps even a light shower or two otherwise mainly dry. The east coast has a great day in store after any early cloud clears away.
