Due to a southwesterly airflow over the country tonight we have average to below average temperatures for most. The lower South Island sees the coolest lows.
Highs for the western North Island will be average while in the east temperatures climb a bit above normal tomorrow, despite the mentioned highs for the east coast below figures may actually climb into the late twenties. Most of the South Island will likely be fairly average or below average despite a few brightly coloured areas as indicated on the map below. Southland, Otago and coastal Canterbury will more then likely be below average though, caught up in a south to southwesterly airflow.
