Upper North Island

A mainly sunny day with light winds after a frosty start, some cloud may clip northern parts of Northland and Great Barrier Island / Coromandel.

Lower North Island

Mainly sunny conditions with light winds. Along the east coast expect cloudy areas however with the odd patchy shower about, gradually clearing away from afternoon and becoming more restricted to Gisborne as the day moves along.

Upper South Island

Sunny and frosty weather with light winds.

Lower South Island

Sunny and frosty with light winds. Some cloud about Fiordland however.
