Overnight about Canterbury a few showers move in again from the south.

Hey weather watch, thank you for the maps you put on your webiste there very helpful fo looking at the long range.

I know it is a long way out yet but I see on the maps for this weekend until next Monday there looks to be a cold southerly flow with a lot of moisture from the nor west. does this system have the potential for heavy snow above 600m at Lake Heeron? Might not even be anything just something i was concerned about. Thank you in advance

Hi there

There could be some snow about Lake Heron tomorrow morning but it’ll only be a brief touch / dusting so nothing to worry about.

Next Saturday some cold air does move in again but moisture with it isn’t looking that bad so perhaps a dusting again.  Some heavy rain moves through the day before on Friday but the air is too warm so no snow then.

Keep up to date next week with stories / videos here at WW

Cheers
Aaron

Any idea what sort of low level snow could fall to tonight in the South?
