Slight lift in temperatures this week

High pressure covers NZ for today Monday, but is sliding off to the east this week which will bring in some slightly milder weather for a time. High pressure is still the main feature of NZ’s weather this week with many places dry. Most showers are from northern Hawke’s Bay to East Cape and then again in the east from about Coromandel Peninsula to Northland. Central NZ will be the driest.

The West Coast has some rain developing this week and a few showers for Southland too with fluctuating wind directions in the South Island.
