Several weather systems moving in on Tuesday

There are a number of different weather systems moving in to influence the weather around New Zealand on Tuesday, both stable and unstable – with showers for many places.

A low pressure system is moving slowly across the South Island, before a stable southwesterly airflow moves onto the lower part of the island in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the North Island lies under an unstable westerly airflow, meaning heavy showers at times for western areas of both islands – for more specifics, check out Philip Duncan’s latest weather video, here.
