Eastern North Island
Plenty of high cloud with northerly winds, a little gusty at times in the afternoon. Warm temperatures.
Western North Island
Mainly cloudy skies with breezy northerly winds. Patchy areas of rain with dry spells now and then. Rain more persistent about Taranaki, especially the north of the region where heavy falls are possible.
Patchy rain with a period of more persistent rain during the afternoon, breezy northerly winds.
Rain with a few heavy falls about the ranges, particularly the Nelson Lakes area. Northerly winds.

Sunny with some high cloud, northerly winds. Some rain moves over in the afternoon north of Banks Peninsula, spreading from the west then clearing in the evening.
