Saturday’s national forecast

It should be another lovely day for most of New Zealand.

The exceptions to that rule will be Northland, Gisborne and Hawkes Bay.  These areas could see a few passing showers today.  They will also likely see some cooler conditions with highs struggling to reach 20.  Auckland could also see the skies cloud up a bit, especially late today.  A few showers are possible there as well.  But again, that should hold off until late this afternoon.

The rest of the North Island is looking pretty settled today.  Look for afternoon highs in the low to mid 20’s.

Most of the South Island is also looking very settled today.  Afternoon highs could push into the mid 20’s in places like central Otago.  Low 20’s should be the rule for the rest of the island.  However, some of the southern coastal sections may struggle to reach 20.

Showers will start to move on shore in the deep south later this afternoon.  They could reach Southland and the West Coast around sunset.

Another gloomy, wet miserable day again in Whangarei..Mostly drizzly with odd patches of light rain. Does not do one any good reading that rest of NI is fine.

So another day indoors. I see that Tasman low will be next.
