RainWatch – Rain or showers continue for northeastern areas

An easterly airflow continuing over New Zealand today brings rain or showers to northern / eastern parts of the North Island, only a touch of drizzle for some northeastern parts of the South Island. Canterbury Banks Peninsula northwards doesn’t see any drizzle till overnight.

The West Coast continues its run of stunning weather today and through this weekend, Southland and Central Otago has great weather in spots too but very cold mornings!

A similar looking picture on Saturday, areas of drizzle increase for the eastern South Island, mainly Banks Peninsula northwards. Auckland, Waikato and Bay Of Plenty have a mainly dry day despite areas of rain or showers shown below, most of this will start to develop towards dawn on Sunday.
