RainWatch – Rain for the north, mainly dry in the south

Areas of rain continue for the North Island today, heavy falls about Coromandel this morning then moving across reaching East Cape overnight. The South Island has a mainly dry day, overnight drizzle moves into Marlborough.

Northern and eastern parts of both Islands see areas of rain or drizzle on Friday and Saturday. Sunday has rain for the north and east of the North Island, dry in the South Island. A northwesterly airflow starts to develop over the South Island on Monday bringing rain in the west, mainly dry for the North Island but expect a few remaining showers about Northland and East Cape.
