Rain Warning? It’s true!

When did we last see a rain warning? It’s been many weeks and MetService have issued a warning for the Westland region this weekend.

A PERIOD OF HEAVY RAIN FOR WESTLAND
An extensive low, formerly tropical cyclone Sandra is expected to move southeast towards New Zealand on Saturday and Sunday bringing significant amounts of rain to many areas. The heaviest falls are expected over the north and west of the South Island, and Westland is likely to receive warning amounts. People in this area are advised that rivers and streams may rise rapidly and surface flooding and slips are possible.
