New Zealand’s 2016 has so far been anything but predictable – and for many, that’s a good thing.

Some of our readers love rain, while others prefer long, hot sunny spells – and then there’s those who enjoy nothing more than a good thunderstorm – every once in a while.

This week, we wanted to know what kind of weather you need more of this year – and unsurprisingly, top spot was taken out by “sun” – with 31% of the vote.

“Thunderstorms” and “snow” followed, with around 20% each – showing perhaps where the ski bunnies’ loyalty lies – while exactly zero people voted for gales!

With June continuing the predominant trend of 2016 in looking warmer than usual, we may soon see some more of everything on the list as we head through winter.
