It’s been wet lately for many regions – with more rain coming this weekend and again next week. At the same time Canterbury remains in a historic drought and while downpours have been popping up in recent days many there absolutely need more rain.

78% of those who responded to our said they don’t want more rain, they want a break from it.

10% said it made no difference to them either way.

But despite all the rain across the country lately 12% say they need “a lot more rain” as it’s still too dry. This is mostly around Canterbury, especially North Canterbury.
