Monday’s national forecast – Mainly settled today

An anticyclone is in control today bringing mainly settled weather, meanwhile a low is developing out in the Tasman Sea.

North Island

Mostly sunny and settled today with light winds, there is a few mid level clouds about, overnight cloud thickens in the west. From afternoon some high cloud will start to move in starting in the west.

South Island

A mix of sun and cloud for the West Coast, mainly sunny in the east after any morning cloud breaks away, frosty to start especially inland. Some high cloud starts spreading in from the west afternoon on wards. Showers develop for Fiordland this afternoon, cloud eventually builds for Southland.
