A ridge lies over the North Island today bringing mainly settled and sunny weather, expect some cloud about the east coast and for exposed northeastern areas. Great Barrier Island during the day with the chance of a light shower or two, showers more
likely overnight.
Bay Of Plenty
afternoon / evening there could be a shower or two about. Chance of an overnight
patchy shower about western Bay Of Plenty near the coast.
Waikato & Central North Island
Eastern North Island
about Gisborne. The Wairarapa has more frequent sunny areas.
Taranaki
afternoon.
Western North Island
on the coast in the afternoon.
Wellington
Nelson
winds.
Marlborough
Canterbury
winds tend lighter north to northwest with hotter weather.
West Coast
developing there in the afternoon. Warmer weather about inland Buller.
Coastal Otago
change southwest later in the evening. Cooler right on the coast and hotter
inland.
Central Otago
in the afternoon then a few spots of rain possible in the evening. Hotter
weather in the east.
Southland
through this afternoon then clear in the evening as winds tend southwest.
