Getting desperate here in North Waikato.the disturbed tropics need to help us out with some rain .whats the chances?

WW Forecast Team on 24/02/2014 12:01am

Most of the current data we have shows fairly dry conditions through
till the 6th or perhaps even the 10th March. These are long range models
though and are likely to change a bit.

There are hints of a tropical low on the 7th March so that looks like our best bet so far for some resonable rain in your area. Fingers crossed something comes sooner!
