West to southwesterly winds ease over the country tonight, showers in the west of boths islands ease also potentially clearing.

Auckland & Northland

Periods of cloud with the odd shower, mostly clearing this evening. Southwesterlies ease overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 13-14

Bay Of Plenty

Any remaining showers clear early this evening and skies becoming clear, west to southwest winds ease overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 11

Waikato & Central North Island

Periods of cloud, the odd shower (mostly in the west) clearing this
evening. Westerlies ease overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Eastern North Island

Clear skies with light winds, overnight southerlies move into the Wairarapa
with increasing cloud and some drizzle possible.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-11

Western North Island

Cloudy areas with the risk of a shower about, westerly winds brisk about
Taranaki ease overnight.

Tonight’s Lows: 10-11

Wellington

Mainly clear skies, some cloud later this evening as northerlies tend
southerly. Chance of a shower moving in overnight.

Tonight’s Low: 11

Nelson

Areas of high cloud clear this evening then clear skies, southwesterly
winds ease.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Marlborough

Mainly clear skies with light winds, there may be some high cloud about
this evening however.

Tonight’s Low: 8

Canterbury

Cloudy areas with light winds, some drizzle or the odd shower possible by
dawn.

Tonight’s Low: 8

West Coast

Remaining showers north of Hokitika clear this evening, southwesterlies
easing. About Fiordland cloud and the odd shower move in this evening.

Tonight’s Lows: 9-10

Coastal Otago

Cloud develops this evening with southwesterly winds, chance of a shower
passing through also.

Tonight’s Low: 8

Central Otago

Mainly clear with some high cloud, light winds. Cloudy periods overnight
with winds tending southerly, low risk of a shower too.

Tonight’s Lows: 5-6

Southland

A period of showers, clearing later this evening. Southwesterly
winds.

Tonight’s Low: 7
