There will be large dry areas this weekend but the weather is going downhill with rain and wind developing in western and northern areas of both main islands. Severe weather is likely with the chance of slips and flooding in some locations. But eastern areas will be driest in both of the main islands.
Subtropical winds will boost overnight temperatures nationwide – and remove the risk of fog and frost going through the weekend, although some locations may still be exposed on Saturday morning.
We have your NZ forecast through to Thursday of next week as we leave Autumn and move into Winter on the meteorological calendar.
