An anticyclone brings settled weather to most regions around New Zealand today, some cloud in the west however especially morning. Some morning rain for the South Island’s West Coast.

Northland, Auckland, Waikato & Bay Of Plenty
Morning cloud breaks then mostly sunny with southwesterly winds, some cloud may still persist at times about western coastlines.
Highs: 16-20

Western North Island (including Central North Island)
Cloudy areas, the odd light shower possible otherwise mainly dry. West to northwesterly winds.
Highs: 14-16

Eastern North Island
Sunny with light winds, tending onshore for a time in the afternoon.
Highs: 19-21

Wellington
A mix of sun and cloud with north to northwesterly winds.
High: 17

Marlborough & Nelson
Sunny with west to northwesterly winds, winds may tend light northerly in the afternoon about Nelson.
Highs: 18-22

Canterbury
Sunny with light winds inland, afternoon east to northeast winds near the coast.
Highs: 18-20

West Coast
Early rain eases to showers, mostly clearing around midday with sunny areas then developing. Westerly winds.
Highs: 15-17

Southland & Otago
Mostly sunny with some high cloud possible, northwesterly winds.
Highs: 16-19
